I would have to say this is the most flexible, most enjoyable, most supportive year-round team I have ever coached. We stay low key, but work very hard and, overall, have a great attitude with a very supportive parent group.

Over the last 8 years we have participated with many swim clubs throughout the U.S. In our experience, we have NEVER had a more qualified coach. The coaching staff cares about all of the swimmers and makes swimming fun while teaching correct fundamentals. I trust the coaching staff of Maverick Aquatics with my swimmers competitive swimming experience.

When our children started swimming 4 years ago we were with another team and would compete against the Mavericks. We were always so impressed with the Coaching and the abilities of all the Swimmers. We had always wished we could have a Coach like Dan and Tonya for our children, not knowing that you did not have to be military to join the team.
Well let me tell you, when we found out that the Mavericks were open to civilians we were so excited that we switched the very next day!
The difference in our children is amazing. They work very hard and yet have so much fun doing it!
The Coaches truely care about the kids they coach. Not just as swimmers but as individuals. The extras that are presented to the kids(Volley ball, water skiing, study improvement seminars, breakfasts) really makes them want to perform well as a Team. We have a great group of kids and parents. Check us out!! You won't be disappointed.

Dan, we truly appreciate you and Coach Tonya, not only for your superb coaching skills but also for the interest in the kids "total" well-being, manners, study skills, etc. Ya'll are one of a kind, and we are blessed to be under your mentorship!
Thank you!

My son Louis swam with MAV for 2 years while we were stationed at Eglin AFB. He swam with several different teams all over the country. MAV has been the best by far in coaching, training, and total well-being. Louis's experience with MAV has motivated him tremendously to keep getting faster, stronger, and better all around. He is now on a large team in TN with with great coaches and great facilities and is doing wonderful. He still stays in contact with Dan and Tonya. They will always be coaches and mentors to Louis. This is true because even at meets now they watch Louis and give him feedback after he races. They truly care about their swimmers even after they have leave the team.

Coach Dan and Coach Tonya really have worked hard. They can work with child as well as seniors. When I started adult workouts with Dan I could'r raise my left arm. Thanks to his teaching and coaching My flexability is much better and I not only can I raise my left arm but, I have a lot more strenghth. I am now learning to swim thanks to the coaches. The coaches never dwell on the negative but always have a postivite attitude with all.

swimmung with the mavs has been truly amazing. coach dan and coach tonya display a positive attitude in and out of the pool. they have really worked hard to get the team where it is now and i think they deserve some recognition for there efforts.when i joined the team i could barely swim a 39.00 in the 50 freestyle now i have a personal best time of 30.23 and still working on it. i am forever grateful to have such wonderful coaches, team mates, and training. thankyou coach dan and coach tonya you guys are the best
