Swim practices available at Eglin

Good news!
We had a meeting at Eglin today and are going to start swimming, pending paperwork, on Thursday, Dec. 13.  Our practice time is 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Our older, more experienced swimmers will swim 4-6.  Our younger group (Tonya's group) will swim 5-6.

We are in the process of getting in our paperwork and access rosters and this is a rush job, but they anticipate everything being ready on Thursday.

The terms of the contract are that each swimmer sign in every day and pay $2 every day they come to swim.  This means each swimmer will be paying a maximum of $4 a week.  We are only swimming on Monday and Thursday of each week.  The holiday schedule will be separate and forthcoming.

Dues for Maverick will stay as unchanged as possible.  We will, until we are back in Hurlburt, be charging $50 a month to Maverick per swimmer. This will cover team competitive fees and fees for the dryland practices.  We plan to continue to do dryland on Tuesdays and Fridays.  I encourage EVERYONE to participate in dryland.  We have shown, without a doubt, that dryland can keep us very competitive during times lacking in swim
training.  Just check out the results of the Excel meet, especially Josh Williams, and you'll see what we mean.

Reminder to check here http://www.seswim.org/docs/docs/2008athletes.pdf, to see if you are registered for 2008.  We are planning to enter the GPAC meet in January by next week, so I need to know who would like to go.  All currently registered swimmers will be entered in our team meet at the YMCA at the end of January.  All swimmers of SES caliber (those that have current SE cuts or are trying to make them) will be entered in the ATAC meet the first weekend in Feb.  Please check the meet schedule, download
the sign up form, and get those in.  We are back in business folks!
